Environmental Restoration
The City of Brampton retained the Firm to provide a detailed restoration planting design for an approximately 80-acre section of the Fletcher’s Creek valley system that was devoid of vegetation due to the previous agricultural land uses of grazing and farming.
The goal of the project was to kick start the processes of natural succession and revegetation by introducing native plantings to the riparian areas and side slopes of the valley. The overall effect of the new plant communities on the valley is quite impressive. The organic layout of the plant beds, serves to create an aesthetically pleasing landscape for the residents of the Fletcher’s Creek community to enjoy.
