Master Plan and Landscape Development Design
We were retained as landscape architects for this master planned community with a projected build out of 3000 homes by 2018. The vision calls for:
- Rural Village nestled into the rural, agricultural countryside
- Environmental sustainability – strong conservation objectives
- Urban spaces to accommodate social interaction
- Stormwater management features to promote environmental awareness, include focal points, pedestrian walkways and activities where possible
- Protection and enhancement of vistas and views at gateways
- Respect heritage value of historic hedgerows and tree lines and integration within the planned linear greenway
- Landscape to aid in traffic calming
- Bike and trail network, integration of pedestrian trail network at key gateway points with all other design elements including SWM facilities and off-site valley linkages.
