Neighbourhood Park
The main objective of this project was to design a new playground facility that met the City of Markham, Park’s Department facility needs, established a street presence to ensure user visibility and most important, assured the survival of a magnificent specimen Red Oak (Quercus rubra). The solution combines a small pedestrian common area flanked by two playground nodes that share the microclimatic benefits offered by the large tree canopy.
